Catholic Schools Week is the last week in January! We will celebrate this week with several events, including:

  • Sunday, January 26: Family Mass at 10AM, Open House 11AM-12PM
                   --> Free Dress Mass Pass Day for attendance (date TBD)
  • Monday, January 27: Friends of St. Finn Barr Day
  • Tuesday, January 28: Science Fair (Goode Hall) @ 1:15PM
  • Wednesday, January 29: Grandparents/Special Persons’ Day Prayer Service @ 9:30AM (reception to follow in Goode Hall)
  • Thursday, January 30: 9th Annual Peace Parade @ 1:30PM
  • Friday, January 31: Shamrock Spirit Day

ADDITIONAL NOTES

 

Traffic: To contribute to a safe and efficient dismissal process, please remember that the White Zone is loading only (not parking). If your child is not outside as you approach, please circle around the block. Please do not exit your vehicle in the white zone. Students are not allowed to jaywalk. Thank you for your cooperation!

 

Accreditation Survey: In December, a link was shared with all parents. This survey is an essential step in our self-study process – it is our opportunity to analyze our significant accomplishments of the past 6 years, and to establish an action plan to develop the school over the next 6 years. Please click here to complete the survey if you have not already. Thank you always for your support!

Review SFB: If you haven’t already, please take a few minutes to write a review for SFB on any of the various websites (e.g. Yelp, https://www.greatschools.org, https://www.niche.com/k12/search/best-schools/, https://www.privateschoolreview.com, etc)  

 

Mandatory Fundraising: Beginning in the 2020-2021 school year, there will be a change in mandatory fundraising. We will have two mandatory financial fundraisers – the Walk-a-thon and Off to the Races. There will still be 30 required service hours, however 2 of these hours will be required donation of time to the SFB Festival.

Mother/Son Event: Goode Hall has been booked for Saturday, May 2nd. We are looking for volunteers to plan and execute!

 

Ladies’ Tea: Hoping to bring this event back, by popular request! Looking for volunteers to plan.

 

Father-Daughter Dance (Men’s Club): Saturday, March 21st.

 

 
Book Fair Coordinator Needed!
SFB's annual Scholastic Book Fair is coming! Get your kids excited to shop for new books from Monday, March 2nd through Wednesday, March 4th, 2020.
 
The Book Fair is a fun and really great time to earn volunteer hours. We are looking for a new Book Fair Coordinator to work with the Scholastic Rep and to manage the Book Fair and its volunteers.
