Kate’s rowing career began with the Oakland Strokes during her time at Bishop O’Dowd High School and continued during her undergraduate studies at Princeton University. Like many athletes, her road to the Olympics was paved with some extreme challenges, including a recovery from emergency abdominal surgery that left her unable to stand upright or breath deeply just two years ago.
