St. Finn Barr Alumnus Distinguished in Lowell Academics & Football

In a recent San Francisco Chronicle article previewing the Lowell High School football team, St. Finn Barr alumnus Martell Coleman was noted under  “Three things to watch:”

Although he is a sophomore with no varsity experience, Martell Coleman is expected to lead a young linebacker crew for Lowell. The Cardinals graduated their entire linebacking corps from last season.

Coleman attended St. Finn Barr Catholic School for nine years, excelling as a student, athlete, and leader. In the 8th grade, he served as the first Student Council President elected into office, and he graduated as co-valedictorian with fellow Lowell classmate Rachel Schmidt. His sister Nicole (’16) is currently in the 7th grade at St. Finn Barr, and Martell continues to contribute to the parish as an altar server at weekly Masses.
