December Recipe: Funflower Cookies

Gleefully delicious cookies and hot chocolate are Chef Stella’s gift to you this season of generosity. The cookies are gluten-free, packed with antioxidants, and quick to whip up so you can make them yourself and be proud to share them with all your loved ones. The hot chocolate is made with real ingredients that nourish your body and delight your spirit. One of the benefits of scratch-cooking is being able to control the types of ingredients that go into your food; you’ll find no high fructose corn syrup or any other kind of artificial sweetener in our cookies. We use a small amount of real sugar (about 4 grams per cookie—less than half what the leading packaged brand contains) and combine it with healthy fats to help regulate the blood’s response. Even so, it is important to understand that cookies and hot chocolate are special occasion treats not intended to be consumed more than one serving a day.
