Update: St. Finn Barr Students Learn. Bake. Share.

Thank you to the St. Finn Barr students and their families for baking and donating bread for our service learning project through SF Food Runners and King Arthur Flour.

On Wednesday, October 24th, the 4th-8th graders gathered in Goode Hall to learn to bake a simple bread recipe as part of King Arthur Flour's Life Skills Bread Baking program. The program teaches the students how to make bread, then sends them each home with a kit that includes flour, yeast, and a bread scraper. The students are invited to bake two loaves -- one to enjoy at home and one to bring back to school to donate to charity.

All 4th -8th graders will go home on Friday with their bread kits. They are asked to return with one loaf of bread in the bag attached to the kits by Monday, October 29th or Tuesday, October 30th. All bread will be donated to SF Food Runners.
