On Saturday, August 25 Megan Morcillas, Lilly Saavedra, Angel Gonzales, and Miko Macaraeg attended the dedication of a new graphic text, entitled, Serra: American Founding Father. The book was created in collaboration with members of the native Bay Area Ohlone tribe to depict the life and work of Father Junipero Serra, Franciscan founder of the twenty one California missions that mark El Camino Real. The books were presented by Mission Dolores Curator Andrew Galvan to the Maureen Huntington, Superintendent of Catholic Schools of the Archdiocese of San Francisco. The books will serve the educations of 4th-graders in Marin County I San Francisco County, and San Mateo County.
