YMCA Youth Program Visits Middle Schoolers

Today the 6th through 8th graders enjoyed a visit from Rob Eifler and Yaku Moton, representatives from two exciting YMCA youth programs. The first is a “Youth Chef Club”– students age 13-18 can spend Monday through Thursday afternoons (430pm-630pm) at the Mission YMCA preparing healthy meals, catering YMCA and community events, and taking cultural food tours of San Francisco neighborhoods….at zero cost to their families! What an incredible opportunity.

Teens are also welcome to join the Teen Basketball Program every Saturday at the Excelsior Youth Center from 1pm-3pm…. Yaku played basketball professionally for eight years overseas and loves any opportunity to get kids moving and improving on the court.

Teens are also welcome to apply to the YMCA youth internship program this summer – they commit to working weekday afternoons at the Y in exchange for experience and a generous stipend. For more information email Rob Eifler (reifler@ymcasf.org) or call 415-999-8604.
