Walk-a-thon - Thank You!

We appreciate you coming out in spite of the early misty rain. You and our DJ Marius made the Walk-a-thon spirited and fun for everyone!

A big thank you to all our parent volunteers!

Spirit Wear, Colette thank you for setting up such a great assortment of SFB logo wear to help everyone show off their Shamrock spirit!
Root Beer Floats, thank you 8th grade for making root beer floats for everyone to enjoy and to stay energized as they added on more laps. We hope that your graduation fundraiser was successful!
Music and more, thank you DJ Marius for playing fantastic, fun and upbeat music to keep us all pumped up and providing encouragement to keep it moving at the far end of the track. You made the walk-a-thon more lively and fun!
Volunteers, thank you for all your amazing effort that helped the walk-a-thon go smoothly and successfully. We could not do this big event without your help!
Staff and Families, thank you for taking time out of your busy weekend to enjoy time with our SFB community to support our wonderful SFB School!  
The walk-a-thon is done but we still have to finish with our fundraising efforts.
Below is some final fundraising information.
Important Dates
By now all Buyouts should have been paid ($175 by Saturday, April 6th). Any buyouts received after this date will fulfill your fundraising requirement but will not be included in the class count for class prize.
Two more important dates:
Tuesday, April 16th
   Pledge payments due (outstanding pledges to be paid as buyout fee)
 Thursday, April 18th (targeted date, subject to change)
    Winners announced and prizes awarded at morning announcements
Pledge Payments
Participating families are required to bring in at least $125 in pledges due by Tuesday, April 16th. We would love to see you bring in more pledges than minimum required, including pledges that may have been made after you've turned in your Pledge Form.
Walkers should have checked out (where you checked in) after finishing their walk-a-thon and should have received a copy of their Pledge Form to remind them of their pledges to turn in.
An exception to this was part of the 1st grade and all of the 2nd grade Pledge Forms. We had a photocopy problem and Pledge Forms for the last half of 1st grade and for 2nd grade did not copy so we were not able to give those students a copy to take home after the walk-a-thon. I will go through all class boxes this week and send home walk-a-thon items, including Pledge Forms for any unpaid pledges.
Laps Walked
All walkers should have checked out after finishing their walk-a-thon to report their laps and to get a finisher's certificate. We are tracking laps to see who walked the most laps, including for students, staff, and families. If you or your children did not report their laps and get their certificate, please e-mail me your lap information so that I track your laps and make sure you get your certificate. We want to make sure that the top lap walkers get a prize and want to see which class walked the most laps in the class count. Let that top lap walker be you and your class!

We have other great prizes too! Cash prizes will be awarded to the next top three pledge earners. Admission tickets to some Bay Area venues and gift cards will be awarded to top lap walkers and for random raffle drawings. Students earn a raffle for buyout and pledge payments. Families that paid their buyouts on time by Saturday, April 6th will get one raffle in the drawing for each student. Students that pay their pledges by Tuesday, April 16th will get their name in the raffle drawing one time for every $50 in paid pledges. Bring in more pledges, get more raffles.
