  1. Write a paragraph about anything (what you’re planning to do today, a favorite memory, a hobby, etc) where you utilize at least one allusion. Type it up on a Google Doc and highlight the allusion that you used.

Example: When I arrived at my first college lecture as a seventeen-year-old college student, I was super intimidated. The lecture hall was cavernous, with sloping steps stretching down like a stadium. I chose a seat in the middle of the mostly empty room, as I had arrived quite early. The other students around me seemed unbothered, casual; there were two girls sitting a few rows ahead of me that were streaming “Keeping Up with Kardashians” on a laptop as they waited for the room to fill. Seeing the air of general calm in the room, I settled back in my seat, took a deep breath, and powered on my own laptop for recording notes.
