Due:

Assignment

Please watch this presentation by Ms. Kimble.

Steps of Lectio Divina
  1. Lectio: Choose and read the Bible passage that was chosen several times. Be very familiar with all of the details within the passage.
  2. Meditatio • Meditate on the passage and how it connects to your life. Use your imagination to visualize parts of the story.
  3. Oratio • Offer God a prayer after you have thought about and connected with the passage. This personal prayer can be used to ask God to help you understand the prayer better or thank him for his words.
  4. Contemplatio • Communicate with God silently. This can be the most difficult part because we are silent and listening to God through his words. We then put his words into action in our lives.
The Bible passage is attached to this post. Please open it.

Open the discussion guide and write the answers on a lined piece of paper so that you can take a picture of it to send to Ms. Kimble when you are finished.

When you complete the Lectio Divina, please go to the Padlet to write a prayer or reflection.

Assignment

If you were in class on Monday and/or Tuesday:

Create a poster that summarizes the presentations you viewed in class that discuss the lives of Peter and Paul.

Your poster should include the headline "Peter and Paul", at least one point from each presentation (use your packet to help you), and either one illustration that covers half of the page or several illustrations that go with each point.

If you were not in school on Monday AND Tuesday, please go to the site http://sfbreligion.weebly.com/resources-websites.html and read through each chapter so you understand the lives of Peter and Paul and their importance in the church.

Use the graphic organizer attached to this post and complete the graphic organizer (if you can print it) or share a google doc with Ms. Kimble that provides the information for each chapter you read. You do not need to read your own section and you do not need to complete the graphic organizer for your section.
